Zoom lens update

Standard

So, you might remember that I had broken my EF 70-300 L lens by being stupid and took it to the Canon Service Center at Harbourfront for the repair. After they were done, I picked it up, tried it out and… something was “off”. I could not figure out what it was right away and attributed it to me being overly picky. It took me a few more hours the same day to eventually get to the core of the problem: the lens was now back-focusing and I was rather upset about that.

Canon agreed to fix it for me for free, but because I was then just about to go on Christmas vacation I only returned lens and camera (for micro adjustment) a week ago. Today I picked up lens and camera and knew it was “right” after a few shots only. I naturally was checking for focus issues, but it looks like everything is fine now.

I will need to test a little more throughout the next days, but this looks preeeetty good…
