We still had to go and have the photos for Oskar’s school project printed. There’s one of these photo shops at Junction 8 in Bishan. It’s always painful to upload the photos into this dumb Fuji kiosk system they use, but it gets the job done. I took the opportunity to add more photos from the last 12 months or so to print these, too, so we can update our photo frames at home.
In the end I copied close to 200 photos onto a USB stick.
I expected this job would take them forever, but it turns out they finished it in just 30 minutes. The overall quality is okay-ish, with some white points being a bit too off, but it’s acceptable.
I’m so used to look at photos only on the magical sheets of glass we carry around with us these days but it’s sure nice to once in a while free these pictures and have them manifest as little tokens that tell the story of our lives.
