I am really not sure whether naming a pizza place “Odore” is such a hot idea. While it can be translated with “fragrance” or “perfume”, Google also suggests “smell” or “odor” – hum.
Anyhow: this is the place Alex and I went to for dinner tonight upon a recommendation of Silke’s sister. It’s a small little restaurant with garden at a street corner off the beaten track in Ludwigsburg. And if you read the menu where a pizza is 6 Euro or so, it does not suggest it will be bad, but maybe also not that it will be great.
So we were not sure what to expect.
I was even wondering whether the highlight of the evening would remain the fact that I had perfectly reverse parke my dad’s E-class into a tight parking spot at first attempt (virtually no driving in a year, but hey: I still got it… again).
But what can I tell you? – this place is mind-blowingly awesome! I cannot believe we got such good food *and* really good cocktails at such low cost. I also had the Bruschetta as a starter. I will say it did not necessarily win awards in terms of looks compared to other places I’ve been to, but – heck! – the taste was fantastic here, too.
If you’re hungry in Ludwigsburg and you feel like going Italian, don’t hesitate to try this place. It’s really worth it.
The only thing missing was a dessert – they simply did not have one on their short menu. But no sweat: Alex and I drove into the center and had sundaes at the inevitable Olivier ice cream parlor.
Good food and a great night with my buddy – what else can I ask for?
