Under the jetty you can walk in the water and watch swarms of fish enjoying the shade…
This is really pretty awesome. I loved that already last time we were here, but did not take photos.
You cannot get much closer in a more convenient way.
And here’s a photo Aggie took of me and Thomas later today. This is just before the fish started to attack…
Thomas still got a light sun burn on one side of his face because we did not manage to have this improvised parasol set up fast enough…
Rawa Resort is not on a large island and because we are here with two sweet toddlers, I am not moving around too much and most of my photos are taken from more or less the same spot.
Does not make the place less beautiful, though.
And yes, I am walking my expensive DSLR into the water. So far nothing happened but I know I might not always be lucky.
At this corner of the island is also the “lower tier” resort. I suppose it is run by the same company, but everything is arguably designed for a lower budget. Nothing wrong with that and this works as well for sure, though I will admit that I enjoy being spoiled a little. (Tells you something, of course, when the lower tier resort looks like this…)
The weather was cloudy the whole day, but I do appreciate less sun, actually, while others were not as happy with that…
Lamia: It’s cold!
But cold or not, it was still possible to have fun at the beach. Here’s Oskar racing to the water…
… where he finds Maman.
Thomas, in the meanwhile, made sure his bucket would not run out of sand.
It’s a tough job, which is why it can only be done by a toddler with the right attitude to ensure the job is done properly.
And when others are taking a break, the diligent digger remains on the case until every little sand corn is accounted for.
Lamia and I had a drink at the new Rock Bar next to our villa in the evening. So we are standing at the bar, deciding which drink to pick when the guy behind the bar says:
Guy behind the bar: You guys were here a year ago, right?
Unless somebody told him and this is a pretty smart ploy to make the guests feel special, this is pretty impressive. He said that back then he was working in the resort’s restaurant and of course had seen us several times.
And the drinks were good, too.
